Chapter 1. A Mysterious Find
Serhiyko was an ordinary boy who loved to draw. His sketchbooks were filled with dragons, knights, magical castles, and amazing creatures. One day, on his way home from school, he found a pencil near the old park. It was strange—black, with golden engravings.
— What a beautiful pencil! — the boy whispered and put it in his pocket.
When Serhiyko got home, he immediately started drawing. First, he drew a small kitten. Suddenly, the pencil glowed, and the drawing trembled. And… the kitten jumped off the paper onto the table!
— What?! — gasped the boy, almost dropping the pencil.
He touched the kitten, and it purred—real, warm!
Serhiyko couldn’t believe his eyes. He started drawing new things: toy cars that moved, butterflies flying around the room, even a plate of cookies.
“This is real magic!” — he thought.
Chapter 2. Power Out of Control
At first, the boy used the pencil for fun. He drew toys, sweets, even a new pair of sneakers for himself. But with each drawing, he wanted more.
One day, he decided to draw himself a friend—a funny little man in a hat. He named him Tim.
— Hi, Tim! — Serhiyko smiled.
The little man sighed and said:
— Oh, hello. But where is my world?
— What do you mean? — the boy asked.
— If I exist, there must be a world where I belong, — Tim replied.
Serhiyko thought for a moment. He drew a house for Tim, a park, roads. But something was wrong—the world looked unreal.
Tim sighed sadly:
— It feels empty. No real emotions.
WOW:
The boy started to understand that just creating things wasn’t enough. Drawings had meaning only when they were made with heart.
But then disaster struck—one evening, Serhiyko decided to draw a giant dragon. He wanted to create something incredible, powerful.
And the dragon appeared. It was enormous, with fiery wings and glowing eyes. And it didn’t obey the boy!
— I am free! — the dragon roared, soaring into the sky.
Chapter 3. Great Responsibility
Serhiyko was terrified. The dragon flew over the city, scaring people. The boy didn’t know what to do.
Tim walked up to him:
— Didn’t you realize that every drawing is a responsibility? What you create must have meaning!
Serhiyko lowered his head. He decided to fix his mistake. He took the pencil and drew a huge cloud that started pouring rain. The water extinguished the dragon’s flames, making it weaker.
But that wasn’t enough. Serhiyko focused and drew a big book. As soon as the dragon touched it, he began to glow and turned back into a drawing. In a moment, he returned to the sketchbook.
The boy sighed.
— I won’t draw carelessly again… — he said.
Chapter 4. The Lesson
The next morning, Serhiyko took the pencil and drew something special—a large picture where people helped each other, laughed, and spread kindness.
The drawing didn’t come to life. But this time, Serhiyko wasn’t disappointed.
— I understand now… The key is not just creating but doing it with good intentions.
And the magic pencil? It stayed with him, but now he knew: real magic isn’t in the pencil but in the heart of the creator.
