A story about a boy who didn’t like to eat broccoli.

Once upon a time there was a boy named Nikolai. He was very cheerful and active, but he had one big “but” – Nikolai did not like broccoli at all. Every time his mother served this green vegetable on the table, Nikolai furrowed his brows and categorically refused to eat it.

One day, his mother decided to tell him a story about how broccoli helped a boy become strong and smart.

“Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there was a boy named Peter. Peter was small and skinny, and he always dreamed of becoming a knight like his father. But to become a real knight, you need to be strong and healthy. One day, a wise old man came to the kingdom and saw that Peter really wanted to become a knight, but he didn’t have enough strength.

The old man advised Peter to eat more vegetables, especially broccoli, because they help to improve health and make the body strong. Peter decided to take the old man’s advice and started eating broccoli every day. He noticed that his strength was growing every day, and he became more energetic and attentive in class. After a few months, Peter grew and became strong enough to defeat the dragon that threatened the kingdom and became the youngest knight in history.

Nikolai listened to the story with his mouth open. He realized that if he started eating broccoli too, he could become strong and healthy like Peter. The next day, when his mom put broccoli on the table again, Nikolai bravely picked up his fork and started eating. Surprisingly, he even liked the taste! Since then, broccoli has become his favorite dish, and Nikolai grew up a strong and healthy boy, ready for any adventure.

And so, thanks to the story of Petryk and the magical power of broccoli, Mykola realized the importance of proper nutrition and became a real hero in his own life.”
